The 2008 Integrative Medicine Symposium and EXPO will be held
at the Medical Wellness Center (MWC) on Tuesday, April 29th
from 11am-7pm. This co-sponsored project by the Division of
Complementary and Alternative Medicine and the MWC will be open
to medical students, faculty, and interested community leaders.
Panelists from both national and local clinical practices will
discuss integrative medicine, while breakout sessions throughout
the day will feature researchers and clinicians from the field
representing acupuncture, whole food nutritional supplements,
laser research, and more. A wide variety of experiential (acupuncture,
tai chi, yoga, meditation, aroma therapy) demonstrations will
be available and a limited selection of vendors displaying products
currently used in integrative medicine will be part of the EXPO.
